Commandant Jean-Baptiste Charcot was a French scientist and polar explorer in the early 20th-century who navigated the world with his ship the "Pourquoi Pas?" ("Why not?")

2008

  • First transaction closes: Sale by major European leisure equipment group of non core operations (Canada-France) 

2009

  • Charcot Capital explores launch of an investment vehicle in agribusiness in partnership with one of the world’s largest commodities trading groups
  • M&A mandates with large corporations and funds (including General Electric, Citigroup, Castel Group)

2010

  • Charcot Capital advises on fund raising of leading Latin American farmland player (Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay)
  • Increasing activity in emerging markets including disposal of a leading sugar refiner (Indonesia) and sugar trading company (Singapore)

2011

  • Charcot Capital advises on the acquisition of a leading commodities trading group (Switzerland, Singapore)
  • Charcot Capital opens Singapore office
  • Charcot Capital closes co-investment deal in retail sector (Brazil-France)

2012

  • Charcot Capital closes co-investment deal in brewery sector (Congo Brazzaville)
